Year-Round Dining and Relaxing by the Fire
Before: This family enjoyed their large backyard, but wanted to make better use of the space for dining, entertaining outdoors and enjoying the space year-round.
After: A built-in seating wall encloses the space and provides additional seating for entertaining. Bistro lights beneath the pergola are controlled by a switch at the back door.
After: The new space has room for dining and covered seating in front of the custom stone fireplace.
After: The new area has become an extension of the home, with a series of outdoor rooms that flow together gracefully. Perfectly suited for the household to enjoy with family and friends.
An Outdoor Room to Grow Edibles, Relax in the ‘Tub and Sit by the Fire
Before: The homeowners needed more room to grow and better ambience to enjoy their garden areas.
After: A completely renovated back space includes updated privacy fencing, new raised beds, a seating area with a portable firepit and a hot tub.
Before: The backyard needed a creative makeover to make better use of the space and add more function while keeping the different areas unified.
After: Almost unrecognizable with the new fence, stairs, back porch, and all of the new landscape elements completed~
After: The updated space feels roomy and creates an enthusiastic invite to explore, take a break and get growing!
Before: The existing path from the front yard to the back had little reason to slow down and enjoy the scenery.
After: The new stepping stone path with a graceful curve. Low growing plants and ground covers add interest, and path lighting ensures safety while also creating ambience at night. Creatively placed galvanized tubs give further planting space and give focal points along the walk.
Design Example #3: Room to Play Bocce, Let the Pups Roam and Listen to the Sound of Water...
Before: The family’s backyard was large, but poor drainage made it unusable during the winter months. While the yard had been planned with wide open spaces, it was time to make a change and make it more usable for the family, their friends, and the 4-legged kiddos to enjoy and relax in a new environment.
After: A new cut stone path, landscape lighting and a bocce court (with natural stone outcroppings to place beverages on) are a welcome reason to finally use the new space.
After: Looking back down the path from
the opposite side shows the existing pergola with a seating nook.
After: The path stone was sourced from a specific supplier to match up with the existing stone in the seating nook. The new water feature is visible in the background.
After: The water feature was constructed with a below-ground basin constructed using concrete blocks, a spray-in liner, a cored Columbia basalt column with additional stone columns to complement and a recirculating pump with a built-in debris catch-system.
Construction Services Include:
